[Private] I cannot begin to explain how disturbing it was to arrive home from London last night to realize that, just a few streets over from my place, there had been an attack. There were children around. How can this keep getting worse? Oh, and I'm so very sure that appropriate measures will be taken by the Ministry. So sure. Right. [/Private] [BOMB] I'm sure you've heard or read about what happened. What are we doing about this? We are going to do something, right? |

I'm not going to say exactly how much it was, but someone dropped a ridiculously generous sum into my case today while I was playing. Let's say it was more than I usually get over the course of several weeks. I don't think he did it by accident, either. It's nice to get reminders now and then that people are still capable of decent behavior. I'm not quite sure what I'm going to do with it, yet, after I get it changed for wizard currency. Usually I'd save it, but it feels like the sort of thing that ought to be spent on something fun. |

( Private ) It was very slow today. Someone brought in a cracked foe glass, but they probably could even have fixed it themselves. It took barely any time and then I spent the rest of the day filing some old receipts and sending out a few owls to old clients. And wiping down the counter. And the windows. And dusting. Don't get me wrong, I love working here, but there are some days when's it's just abysmally slow and I'd like nothing more than to break something just for the sake of fixing it. On the bright side, during the times when I wasn't doing any of the above shopkeeping, I got about a quarter of the way through this book I bought at the end of last year when it came out and hadn't gotten around to yet. It's called The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, by a Muggle author called Douglas Adams. Hilarious, so far. Recommend it for a rainy day, or any day, really. |
